Utility Cutter SCAD

This is a digital download for all of the OpenSCAD files necessary to make your own working utility cutter and modify it as you see fit. NOTE: If you just want the STL files for 3d printing, click here.

A utility cutter is like a pair of scissors, but instead of shearing material between two blades, it uses a razor blade on one leg and an anvil on the other. Squeezing the handles together closes the jaws and drives the razor blade into the anvil, making a clean cut.

This version of the utility cutter has been optimized for cutting thin materials, like paper. I intend to release another version soon for thicker materials like plastic tubing.

After printing, all you need are three #6-32 screws, a utility style razor blade, and a screw driver to install the screws.
